<body class='hmmessage'><div dir='ltr'>This seems like a way to create a lot of extra work. MIF washing after open a Word file in FM gets rid of a lot of Word anomalies. Removing the graphics leaves out placeholders that give clues as to the size and nature of the graphic to be used (and some graphics extracted from Word by the changing of .docx to .zip trick) will have lost added callouts, arrows, etc.<br><br>My advice, especially for longer documents would be to open the Word doc in FM, MIF wash and replace the graphics as need. I have a PDF of a series of steps I use to clean up such imports. If anybody is interested in that, send me a request off list. Start with a FM template the mimics your word style names to make things easy. to get rid of all of the Word-defined styles.</span></p>

<b>single</b> line in the text file.</span></p>

When I read this text file into FrameMaker, the single line converts automatically into a single paragraph again.</span></p>
