I am also running the 424 version of Frame 12 on a 64-bit Windows 7 laptop. My source is maintained in a CMS. I just tested a book, which contains more than 100 graphics imported by reference and didn't see any problem. I know that a vector graphic would require more resources than a bit-mapped graphic.
