Headings (con't) in FM 7.2?

I would think that putting the heading into the header or footer would
be the usual thing here. At least it seems that the big ones
(companies) have not come up with a solution and some of them don't
even make use of FM's Table Continuation variable but rather stick to
the old typewriting concept!

Depending on your layout and construction, you _could_ add a new
header that would read a special paragraph tag or an element. This
could be done if your construction of the manual is very simple. For a
little more complex construction, you could add other master pages
with a similar header frame that would read a different header.
However it is easy to see instances where this might create problems.

So, I guess that my answer is not helping much. ;-)
