TW-913  Biotech Technical Writer - Contract - Foster City, CA (Immediate Need)
Length: 9 months
Salary/Rate: BOE

A leading developer of medical devices, pathogen diagnostic kits and 
lab instrumentation needs a technical writer to help document their 
gene sequence hardware and software products.

The documentation will cover the whole work flow (from taking samples 
to using the hardware and software) so the client needs someone who 
has documented both medical protocol and hardware/software.

Requirements:

o. Experience documenting medical protocols (Required)
o. Experience writing hardware and software documentation (Required)
o. Degree or background in science (biology, chemistry, etc.) (Required)
o. Excellent FrameMaker skills (Required)
o. Experience with RoboHELP a plus
o. Previous experience working in a medical lab a major plus


Notes:

o. US citizens or greencard holders only.

o. This is an on-site contract.

o. We don't have a published bill rate for the contract, so please 
specify your rate when applying.

o. The initial phase of the contract is approved through the end of 
the year, but should be renewed through the end of June 2007.

Requirements:

o. Experience documenting scientific/medical hardware and software (Required)
o. Experience with FrameMaker and RoboHELP (Both Required)
o. Experience writing in a structured/CMS environment (Required)
o. Previous experience working in a medical lab a plus
o. Experience with DITA a plus
o. Degree in related field

Notes:

o. US citizens or greencard holders only.

o. The client prefers temp-to-perm but will consider hiring directly 
to perm if you are currently in a perm position.
