I'm assuming you're using 7.2.
As you've no doubt noted in other threads, SaveAs PDF isn't ever the
preferred method of generating a PDF, so you may want to try setting
the Adobe logical printer as your default printer and then using a
Print command to generate the PDF.
Another standard tip that may be helpful is to make sure that all FM
content files are open on your desktop when you PDF.
Probably more important than RAM in your case is how much temp space
you have on your hard drive, too, because temporary files are created
using any pdf generation process. And because of the crashes, you may
have orphan temp files that need to be cleaned out.
