FRAME CRASH

Hello All,
running into a weird problem. Never happened to me. I open Frame (7.1, on XP) and when I press Ctrl+Alt+l (to make something lower case) or even when no document is open, Frame crashes with the usual error screen. Now when I do Ctrl+Alt+shift+l it goes fine.
 
Does anyone know what the deal might be?
