Perfect Market is seeking a Contract Technical Writer to help document the
company's technology platform.  This documentation will be a complete
explanation of how the current technology platform operates, including an
explanation of key software components, database structures, data warehouse
structures, automated reporting systems and critical manual processes that
impact the system.  This document, when complete, should be comprehensive
enough to allow new and existing engineers to come up to speed on any
portion of the technology platform very quickly and should increase the
overall productivity of the engineering team going forward.  This is a
full-time, contract position.  
 
The Contract Technical Writer will need to be capable of documenting
software systems, API's, database structures and human processes.  This
documentation will include diagrams, schematics and written descriptions in
each of these areas.  A Contract Technical Writer that is capable of
reviewing code and database structures and documenting those elements
without significant input from an engineer will have a distinct advantage in
this role.
 
Candidate will ensure accurate and timely completion of the documentation.
Candidate will demonstrate the creativity and initiative to gather the
required information for the documentation without prompting or detailed
guidance.  In order to be effective, candidate will be expected to be in our
office in Pasadena, CA a majority of the duration of the contract.
