TOC

Deidre,

When you moved the title page, did you delete the autoTOC? When you
first create a toc, the formats are taken from the first file in the
book (as you discovered). Once the toc has been created, the formats are
taken from itself. In your case, since it already had the formats from
the title page, it continued to use them.

As to why the elements on the master page changed but not the body page,
are you talking about paragraph styles? You probably did not have the
specific toc styles in your regular .fm files, so while all the other
para styles were changed, the toc styles were not.

Mike

Thank you so much Art! I've been going through by hand, trying one
thing after another, and about 30 seconds ago, I thought, hum, why don't
I try importing formats from one of my working TOCs?

LOL

Any insight into why the autoTOC was picking up the title page, even
after I moved it out of first position?

Thanks,

Deirdre
