Translation into japanese and chinese

Our manuals are to be translated into japanese and chinese

We plan to a folder structure similart to the that of the English
manual. We use Trados and Tageditor.

Any problems with file names, folder names etc.? Will a copy of the
English folder work when we replace the English files with say Japanese
framemaker files. I am thinking of links to graphics and text insets.
