Paragraph Designer Freezes

Carol,

I have been having this problem since I started using FM9 several months
ago. I have asked on the forum and gotten many replies. Yes it is always
when I am changing tab stops and indents with the ruler. I always have
to close FM down. I have tried bringing the Para Designer out into a
floating position and everything else anyone suggested. There are many
people having this problem. I think it is a bug. The last person told me
that we should report it to Adobe so we can get it fixed....Just to let
you know......you are definitely not alone with this problem.

Hi Shlomo,

So far, five people has responded to my email indicating that they, too,
experience this problem with some regularity. Neither they nor I have
been able to identify any specific sequence that triggers the freeze.
However, yours is the first information I've received that suggests a
workaround. Like you, I know for sure that it freezes when I'm adjusting
tab stops with the ruler. I will pay attention to what set of properties
is displayed when the freeze happens. If I can avoid a freeze by keeping
Basic properties on top, that would be very helpful. Thanks for the
suggestion, Shlomo.
