First referenced graphic in pdf turns gray

I'm assuming your on WInXP. When we first started using FM9 Save As PDF, 
the graphics on the first page of PDFs disappeared. We installed the 
Microsoft HotFix and it solved our problem (even though it seemed more for 
text problems, it fix our graphics problem; go figure)

Install the HotFix and see if it solves your problem.
