Have you tried FM9's built-in screen capture program?  File> Launch 
RoboScreenCapture

P.S. I use SnagIt with FM9 without problem-- though not very often. It 
sounds like you've assigned some shortcut keys to SnagIt that conflict with 
those already assigned in FM.
