Page Numbering Format (# of ##) in an FM Book

Jazz,
If memory serves me, Rick Quartro has a script that will do this.
 
If he doesn't, and you are delivering PDFs, you can do this in Acrobat.
I just tested it and it works with Acrobat 8.
 
In Acrobat, open you PDF and select Document > Add Header and Footer.
Then select Setup Page Number and Date format, select 1 of n.
Select Insert page number.
 
If you have to revert to this option, you might want to edit your Frame footer to accommodate the Acrobat page numbering. Otherwise it could get a little messy.

Hello Framers,



I need to setup page numbering formatted as "Page # of ##" in a book with several files. The Page Count variable (building block <$lastpagenum>), pulls the last page number of the current file, not the last page number in the book. So, it's correct in the last file of the book, but not the others.



Is there any way to set up a variable that will read the last page number in the book? Or, is there another way to accomplish this without setting it manually after I generate the final book?
