Can't delete rogue colors

[Spectrum Writing]

It's not in the same book. The book with the JPEG is in one directory with
Template A. I have created a second directory (completely different path)
for Template B. I am trying to nuke the color definitions in Template B. I
do know that the only time I got error messages in Template A for color
inconsistencies was >>AFTER<< imported the JPEG. before that I NEVER had a
book error window opening with error inconsistency messages.

You're assuming that the JPEG caused the problem.  It didn't.
It can't.  The problem comes from one of two other graphic
types, either EPS, or a PNG using a color map (rather than 
24-bit color).  You could make it go away by replacing the
EPS with a PDF, or changing the PNG to use 24-bit colors.
