MIF File Import

I have had the same problem in the past. From my experience, saving a MIF
file from within Frame can be the culprit. In my case, I created the MIF
files in an ASCII editor and included only those items that I wanted to
import. I opened the MIF text file in Frame and imported. Everything worked
well. However, if I saved the MIF file from within Frame, Frame
automatically added a lot of default "system" variables to the saved MIF
file. My specific problem involved overwriting running headers and footers
with the internal values in Frame.

My solution: I create the MIF file in an ASCII editor and open it with
Frame. I then perform the import. Here is the key (at least for me): close
the MIF file WITHOUT saving it. As long as I open the file, use it, then
close it without saving, everything works as I want.
