Retrospectively standardising the styles across my book

Hi Andy,

I recently redid the styles for our template so that I could take advantage
of keyboard shortcuts with [F9]. (I didn't realize how much style creep I
had created.)

Paragraph Tools was invaluable (
http://www.siliconprairiesoftware.com/Products.html).

It can create a list of paragraph tags in a file. You can edit the list to
keep the tags you want, then have it remove the tags that are not on the
list. If you rename tags such as Heading1 to h1, Heading2 to h2, and so on,
it has a convert feature to help you do this all at once. It also has a
remove overrides feature.

With a series of File > Import > Formats > Paragraph Formats and the various
Paragraph tools I was able to set up a standard set of styles for a 22
chapter book and a chapter template.

Hope that helps. I can explain in more detail if you contact me off list.
