RE(4): FM10 does not output Adobe PDF

Exactly, Dov.

I have noticed through the years that PostScript engines included in various
printers/photocopiers STB fully PS3 (or, earlier, PS2) compatible always
have had some sort of limits compared to those containing the Adobe PS
engine, sometimes resulting in printing endless pages of garbage, again
resulting in people blaming PS and Adobe.

OTOH I have seen a number of database applications using GhostScript, or the
like, that seems to work OK. Maybe such applications don't need but some
narrowed down version of a PS engine? Curious as I am, I have often wondered
wherein lies the difference.

I am not requesting a reply, just wondering.
