Just to clarify -- the reason for this recommendation is that if you 
tell FM to use a physical printer, Windoze will pretend that the fonts 
resident on the printer are actually installed on your PC.  (And even if 
different fonts with the same name DO exist on your PC, FM will use the 
printer's font metrics to determine line breaks etc.  Those metrics may 
be different from the metrics of your PC's font.)

Obviously, if you change from one physical printer to another, or your 
file moves from one PC to another, you're going to run into problems of 
missing fonts or quirky spacing and line/page breaks.

By making Adobe PDF your default printer always, you are ensuring that 
only the fonts actually installed on your PC are used in your .fm and 
.pdf documents.

The plug-in Richard recommends has the benefit that it affects only FM; 
the default printer you select in all your other applications is 
unaffected.  Highly recommended.
