> We are working exclusively with our client in identifying a Technical Writer to create technical and software administration manuals utilizing XML editor, Arbortext Epic and Vasont CMS. The work will be comprised of creating new content. The materials developed will be a part of a large set of documentation deliverables being planned and will need to be cohesive with the whole addressing the requirements of the products.

> The majority of the development will be from the ground. You will have access to engineering documents such as technical requirements, design specifications, and other engineering material and conduct interviews with engineers. Having knowledge of computer networking/wireless networking systems is an advantage.

> Duration: 6 months approximately, Through the end of the year
> Location: Virtual but candidate must be local to Schaumburg, IL, to attend meetings as necessary and be willing to go onsite up to 3 days a week during certain timeframes.

> 3-5 years Technical Writing/Editing engineering manuals
> Hands on experience with Structured Frame maker or XML editor,
> Computer networking exposure or background
> Background or education in Computer Science
> Working knowledge of Wireless Networking
> Some exposure to UNIX/Linux
> Able to research and derive from engineering requirements and development documents technical content for customer documentation
> Must be a Self-Starter
> Deadline oriented and deliverables driven
> Excellent verbal and written communication skills
> Work samples and references required before submission to client
> Nice to have:
> Experience using XML editor, Arbortext Epic, Vasont
> Familiarity with DITA standards
> Management Information Systems or Computer Science degree
