Hi Rob,

I am the Marketing Manager for Adobe's TechComm line of products.

Firstly my apologies for the inconvenience faced with our dynamic welcome screens (DWS). Your feedback is useful in our efforts to develop industry-leading user experience.

A couple of notes:
1. The issues with the email address techcomm at adobe.com have been resolved and you can use it to contact us at any time.
2. The DWS works in an offline mode when the product is unable to determine an internet connection and the messages display hyperlinks (which can be stored, to be used later when online).
3. When the product detects internet connectivity, the DWS displays buttons that can be clicked on and direct you to the relevant page on a browser window.

I hope this email enables you to make better use of the free learning resources (listed here as well).

We appreciate your feedback and hope to hear more from you about your experience with our products.

Regards
Parth

There are some complaints on this list that creating a PDF from a +100 pages book takes 10 times longer than in FM-9.

I definitely can not confirm this.
My system: 2.8 GHz, 4GB RAM, Win-7, FM_11.0.1.382, Acrobat 9.5 A 400 pages book with screenshots on nearly each page (on some pages multiple), all 18 files are
open:

Distiller job-options Standard
150 sec using Save as PDF (35 sec in distiller)
165 sec to print the PS file and distill (25 sec) it from a watched folder

It is my feeling, that also in the past (with FM-10) this was about the time for the PDF creation.

I wonder if any framers have tried the enticing options on the splashscreen of FM11, webinars, whitepapers, etc which scroll by invitingly.
Trouble is not one of them works. They are dead. No, I lie, one works, i.e.
"email us."
Si I did:
Here is my friendly and loyal message and the result:

Dear Adobe:
Email us is the only item on the splashscreen on FM 11 which works. All others are broken. All the other links are broken or do not work.

These are trivial problems. of course, but they are front of house....What were they think when they released this product They have however contributed to my disappointment with TCS4.
