Template content for new DITA topics (FM 11) = strawman structure

Hi Matt,

Is that what you call it? I was looking for boilerplate or something similar. It's not in the user guide.

I found some mentions of it in the Reviewers guide, but not how to change it. Looking at the EDD it's the AutoInsertions element. Is the top level element always inserted based on the Doctype?

Is it, in addition to inserting elements also possible to insert attributes, or content?

Vriendelijke groet / Kind regards,

Wim Hooghwinkel

I'd like to know where that comes from? Same, inserting a steps element also adds step and cmd. That must be defined somewhere? I recall having seen it once, but I can't remember … For one of my projects I want to modify these default settings.

After creating a topic, use StructureTools > Set Structured Application to determine the structured application you're using .. then locate the structured application definition for that app (likely in the "Global" application definitions file .. StructureTools > Edit Global Application Definitions). The application definition will reference the template file you'll want to modify. Note that there are different structure applications for each topic type, so you may need to modify multiple templates.
