(no) Console file in FM11 and FM12

Umm, what would you expect to find in the console file if there is nothing to be reported to the console? What you usually find there are messages about file translation errors, and if you turn that reporting off, it only stands to reason that there will be nothing to be reported most of the time.

I’m not sure if this is a bug or by design - or if it’s just my computer:
In Edit-Preferences, uncheck 'Show File Translation Errors'. Restart FrameMaker: there’s no console file anymore. The consfile.txt is empty.
Anyone else seeing this?
