Once, again, Stefan, with all due respect. I agree with Hedley's point:

The current main issue, from a user's point of view, is how the product
performs. In the current release, the product has regressed in the most
obvious way - the way that users see it on their monitors - and it imposes
a burden on them - namely, having to re-create screen shots because of
those visible changes.

The underlying issue is the product's engineering architecture, which
historically has been difficult to repair and to advance.

The corporate decisions that accelerate release cycles, and reduce
development resources, affect the quality of the product. Corporate risk
management philosophy that tries to balance customer acceptance of a
product with customer dissatisfaction, is what's at play here.

Users appreciate the work that goes into making the product. They don't
appreciate excuses for why the product regresses or fails to work in
essential areas.

Perhaps you can employ the user-community arguments you're hearing here to
help bolster your case with Adobe management, to win better support for the
development process.

There's no doubt that the problems were seen and commented upon during
pre-release testing, by the developers and the volunteer pre-release
testers. That the product was released with the unfixed problems, indicates
that the decision-makers ruled in favor of something other than usability.
That's the issue.
