Lin
thanks for the answers.

I spent a couple of months using this Word template and understanding it.

When I converted to FrameMaker I took some time to map the styles and then
create a preset file. I mapped tables, characters and paragraphs. This all
worked beautifully. (Frame 2017)

re 2 In my template the title page has a different master page, so i have
to apply this by hand.

3. The bold and italics which were not in a Word style, did not appear in
my doc, so i am applying by hand, the colors also did not appear.

For next time, is there some way where the colors and bolds etc can be
transferred from the Word to the Frame file?
4. the x-refs did not get transferred in any way. Should they have been,
was there something i could have set up to make it happen? They were
references to various headings.
