... doesn't like some graphics cards. Check to make sure yours is
'approved' for Windows 10. I had to purchase new graphics cards when I
upgraded two high-end HP workstations from Windows 7 to Windows 10.
Fortunately, like-new compatible cards were available on eBay for, get
this, only $30 each. I'm now using NVIDIA Quadro FX 4600 dual-display
cards, but they may not be compatible with your PC's architecture.

If no other suggestions work for you, try to ascertain the brand and
model/generation of the graphics display hardware that's currently
installed, and then go to the manufacturer's website to see if they state
that it's Windows 10-compatible.

Like others have suggested, it could just be out-of-date video drivers.
However, that wasn't the problem in my case. The problem was with the
hardware architecture inherent in the cards themselves. They were top-end
cards and not really all that old; they just didn't have all of the
features needed to support some of Windows 10's advanced graphics
capabilities.
