[Framers] FrameMaker 14 horrific resource hog?

Years ago, I had an issue with very slow cursor movement. If you Google 
search "S-L-O-W cursor movement in FrameMaker 9", you will find full 
details. Anyway the cure was File> Preferences> Interface, then uncheck 
"Hide panels on close." If checked, closed panels stay loaded and 
hidden. Adobe eventually fixed the bug, but it wouldn't surprise me if 
they reintroduced it accidentally, while fixing something else.
