[Framers] Adobe licensing is migrating to subscription based

It was a lot less before version 12. About every two to three years, the upgrade cost about $199 was about what I recall paying to go from version 5.5 steadily through version 11 over the years.

When I signed up for the licensing program, I think (but not sure now) that I paid about $149 every couple of years. Then, they told me I had to have 10 licenses to renew, so that went away.

With version 12 (I think), the upgrade cost went up to $399 (as I recall), with a full license of $999. Was my last upgrade ... since version 11 was somewhat unstable for me.

If you missed upgrading, the new upgrade price for more than one rev back was $999 ... essentially a new license!

Not reasonable ... for me anyway!

The price is $360 a year. Wasn't the perpetual license $1000 including one year of support, then $500 per year for continued support?

Learning resources, FrameMaker Classroom in a Book is good. It hasn't been updated since version 11, but the basics haven't changed.
