FYI: I am currently using FrameMaker 12 to do a structured project for a
client. FrameMaker 12 is certainly capable of working with structured
documents.

Ditto what Mike said. The ONLY reason I'm still sticking with Frame12 is
because I have no need for structured documents and there haven't been
enough non-structure improvements since FM12 to justify the cost of
upgrading. Yes, some would-be-nice-to-haves, but nothing worth the price.
The strength of FM is that I can still make it jump through serious
advanced-level hoops despite its age. It just may take a bit longer. Same
thing applies to me, too.
