[Framers] Is Structured FrameMaker a big deal

I taught tech writers FrameMaker at Austin Community College through version
12. Then weirdly enrollments dropped off in about 2016-2017. Hard to imagine
what people new to the tech writing world knew.

Anyway, I'm gearing up to offer basic FrameMaker (16) now. Curious if
Structured FrameMaker has become widely established, in-demand by employers.
In 2012, it seemed to be rejected.

I have a document that that we are repurposing for a "new" machine. Even
though the machine is an improved version of the original, most of the
document applies to the new machine. The problem is that marketing decided
to give the machine a new name that includes superscript text, as in Machine
X500. How do I use Find/Change (we are using FM12) to globally replace
"Machine X" with "Machine X500"?
