Silicon Prairie Software (www.siliconprairiesoftware.com<http://www.siliconprairiesoftware.com>) have a tool for purging unwanted colours from documents. You create a reference document which lists the colours you want to keep and then run the tool to remove all colours which are not on that list.

I bought it as part of their clean-up bundle, which included tools for managing paragraph formats, character formats, table formats, cross-reference, and variables, amongst others. I use their clean-up bundle all the time and it is a wonderful time-saver.
