embedding base 14 fonts

Sorry to be so late with this, but thanks to all for your answers,
both on- and off-list.

The fix was easy and did not require any other software.

In Distiller with the particular printer that I need for this job
selected, I clicked on Settings > Edit PDF Settings, clicked on the
"Fonts" folder icon in the left panel and then moved all of those
fonts from the "Never Embed" box to the "Always Embed" box, and then
clicked "Save As" using the currently selected printer.

I then generated a test book in Frame, ran that postscript file
through Distiller with the new settings in place to create a new pdf
and then ftp'd that 30-Mb monster pdf to the out-of-state printer for
their look-see and voila! all is well and all base 14 fonts are
embedded (just like our media in Iraq?).

This is not to say another glitch doesn't occur, but for now all "seems" well.

Again, thanks to all.
