Unresolved text inset book errors

I'm not an expert by any means (12 months with FrameMaker) but I've had this issue with some of my files after I've removed a Text Inset.

The only way I've found to get rid of it is to also get rid of the paragraph mark the Text Inset was attached to (mine are always attached at the end of a line). It's happened a couple of times and I've had to fiddle around a little to figure out exactly how to get rid of the mark. But after a couple of tries, I get it to work - although I have no idea why this is a problem or why my solution works.

I just replaced a bunch of text insets in a book with new text inset files.
I deleted the old text inset files from the folder which are no longer being
used. Everything seems to be working fine, but when I regenerate the book, I
get a stream of unresolved text inset errors listing the file names for
those insets I deleted. However, those are no longer in use. When I do a
book search for unresolved text insets, the search does not find any.  I can
even generate a pdf and everything looks fine.  So there doesn't seem to be
an actual problem, it is just annoying that every time I regen the book, I
get this long list of "errors". Any ideas?  Thanks.
