How to replace curved apostrophe with straight apostrophe?

There is a work-around.
   1. Open the character map app (in Windows, this can be found by default
      in Accessories> Ease of Access)
   2. Select the apostrophe (the 6th char over in the top row) and click
      Copy.
   3. Paste the apostrophe in the text. It will go in "straight", and
      should stay that way.
