Frame 9 crashes and can't open any Frame files

FrameMaker started up fine, but crashed when I tried to open any file.
I did a System Restore this morning, and that seemed to fix the problem.

Is when FM starts up or only on opening a particular 
doc? If on starting up, try renaming the Linguistics folder; if 1 file, try 
using the "heroic open"

    Just started this afternoon, every 
      time when I tried to open a Frame doc, I got the following error 
      message. 
      

      Internal Error 9004, 6921628, 9677518, 0. 
      FrameMaker has detected a serious problem and must quit.
      

      Running FrameMaker 9 on 
XP.
