[Framers] smart spaces - selectively disabling ?

Hello, Framers,

I’ve got smart spaces set for my docs. But... I’d prefer to not have it for my code para styles. (For years I’ve been kludging it by using non-breaking spaces or copy/pasting—but NOT by paste special > Text, which strips the formats/extra spaces.)

But I can’t find any way to set/disable smart spaces on a para or char style. It seems that there’s just a single document setting for it, which controls the entire .fm file?

Pointers to how to selectively disable smart spaces or suggestions for better work-arounds are most appreciated!
